The Mission

Hey everyone! Here's the scoop:

A couple of years ago I had a crazy (and kind of selfish) dream to go on a backpacking trip to Southeast Asia. Two of my friends jumped in on the idea with me and we began praying for God to show us what He wants us to do. Wonderfully, God decided to indulge my dream... over the last few months we have consistently come into contact with numerous people who are fighting sex trafficking in SE Asia. The idea of going and helping them out in anyway we can began to grow in our minds. To make a long story short, the three of us are headed over the Thailand and Cambodia at the end of July!

The dates:July 28-Aug 19, 2010

The purpose of the trip: To love Jesus and others, learn about sex trafficking, raise awareness and funds to help local organizations that are fighting the issue, pray, and have fun while we travel through Thailand and Cambodia.

How can you get involved? Oh man! We'd LOVE it if you got involved! One of our desires is that our trip not be only for us: we want to share what we are learning with everyone back here, as well as provide as much practical help to our local contacts as possible. To share what we're learning, we plan to keep updating this blog, hopefully with regular video posts. Please continue to follow our adventures, learning and praying with us as we travel. Also, to help out our local contacts, we are raising money to support a survivor of sex trafficking. To find out more and donate to this cause, please check out our donations link above.

Finally, as a team we are paying for the majority of our travels out of pocket. However, we still need to raise about $2500 to cover our expenses!
